OK who let Vainte use the ladies tees for the first round? 58 is astounding with mixed conditions!!! Now I know what we'll see at OWGT when you set pins and conditions. Nice shootin Dave.

For such a tough course that round of Dave's has got to be one of his greatest ever. sunny I made the mistake of playing with his REC round. I held him for precisely 1 hole before he went beserk. Not easy to get consistently close bearing in mind the irons you use for the approaches - not many easy short par 4's. I eventually lay groping on the canvas gasping for air feeling much like Hatton would have done. Crying or Very sad

Funny Game we play.

Post  JoeSmith on Sat May 09, 2009 4:49 pm

Funny game this is, I am cruising along with an average 4th round, -4 after the front 9. Craters Edge 10th wild left snap and I'm in an aboreteum of unknown plant life. I could rotate any direction, it didnt matter all you could see was a myriad of bushes, trees, and grasses. So five (I could care less) hacks with 5 different clubs and I can finally see daylight and the green and complete my 9 to move to +1. So what the heck, I just figure I'll mail in the last 8 holes and wait for next month. So with reckless abandon and I mean just throwing the marker in the general vicinity for aiming purposes. If I was wrong with my aim my mishit snaps were on the correct side to bring it right to the hole or I made all the chips I had but one. I somehow manage to finish -8 on the last 8 holes. I think I need to play like it doesnt matter more often. Very Happy

One of the questions I had was about taking a drop, which I havent done in quite some time from visits to the forest. I always hack it out as a lesson not to do this again. Where does the game drop it when i am in deep woods? Are you still in the woods on a direct line to the hole? If thats the case whats the advantage to dropping? I suppose I could answer my own question by practicing it. It's too bad you don't get an option to see what the drop zone would be as a preview before you actually select it.
