Fun to play Stableford for a change ,

Then my usual disasters doesn't hurt that much, don't know how many balls I lost on hole 9

not to mention the amount of sand that I have to pour out of my shoes after every round

Nice course anyway

Nice set-up this week Daz. I like the idea of 4 different courses now and then and even when we have 2 it's nice. First round at Caledonian was the first time I'd ever played Mod Med(c) so missed a few putts from lack of experience but it's a usable combination.

I almost considered to quit my first round and start over, but I'm not a cheater...

Before the first tour-round I made a practice round which ended at +12 (84)

so I hoped to go close to that, but no....

started with a bad chip and a bad put for a double bogie, on hole 4 I drove OB,

then came an 8 followed by a 10..... 2:nd shot went into the trees and I didn't find a way out,

took 4-5 strokes to get out....

Put for birde on the last hole, ended with a +5 (9), ...

Hello everybody!

Looking forward to my first tournament, but also sorry to all that I won't give some challenge...

yet....

I did some practise rounds on the 2 courses today, but still not close of getting below 100.

The drives feel ok, but I have a hard time with the chip-ins and most of all the putts

(putaverage above 40)

Usually my first put is twice as long as necessary and my 2:nd is almost half the distance to hole,

so I usually make 3 or 4 putts per hole.

Well, ...

USPGA Championship

Since I won the PGA Championship over at OWGC I obviously love playing Hazeltine, but I was surprised on the setup here. Particularly the fact that mixed tees were not used. I would of expected that at least No. 14 would have forward tees used on a couple of rounds to provide a opportunity of driving the green.

In any event I enjoy this great course and only hope I can do as well as I have on the other tours particularly with the ridiculous handicap I have on this tour for some reason.

Anyone else have a Tin Cup or John Daly experience? Second round on the par 5 2nd in trickled it into the right rough and had what I thought would be a not so hard shot to clear the OB that runs across the hole. Only needed 180 yards to carry it, key word "only". Had a downhill lie so I take a 4 wood flop(bad idea for downhill lies) and hit a horrible snap left into the OB. OK so hit the snap Joe and it will clear. Naaaah second was a missed right snap, still didnt get over it. ...

Just contemplating a change of playing level.

Currently I'm playing at pro click & thinking about upping the stakes to champ or even elite click.

I've had a look at both & it seems the only difference in elite is that you are unable to aim in the overhead view. As I do that constantly it makes it rather difficult. How do the elite players handle this? Do you play a round at champ first noting where to aim etc or just wing it.

It seems that the rough is a lot less forgiving in champ/elite ...

This is getting interesting...

Last week I couldn't get Wraith Canyon to work...it kept crashing on the 9th or 10th hole after I had posted the Pro-Am round which crashed eight times before I finished it. ( All in all, I downloaded it from Links Corners 3 times, and APCD 3 times before I gave up.)

I thought it might have someting to do wiith the 1024 textures, but I downloaded and played Kapa'a without any trouble.

This morning I downloaded Roganstown and attempted to play ...

Wraith Canyon seems to want to crash every 4th or fifth shot...I've downlaoded it 4 times, twice from Links Corner and twice from APCD. With the same results.

Anyone else having this problem...anyone hae a solution. I already have the game set up for minimum graphics, no sound.etc.

That was pretty weird!

My erstwhile friend and probably soon to be ex playing partner, Mr Ivan Irons decided to go for the green on the 10th at Ti Iho watsitythinhgy and came up way short. rather than putting me back on the tee selecting rehit stuck me in the middle of a fairway 370+ yards away from the hole with me hitting. A rather nice shot from me left him nicely in an adjacent fairway around 185 yards away from the hole from where he proceded to dump it in the water again. Selecting ...
