Offline Tour 2009
Just to let folks know that with the closing of Wire LS at the end of the year, the Offline Tour will be continuing as it is now, albeit without the link to Wire LS.
This will probably result in a small amendment to the naming of the tour, but other than that it will be business as usual.
Hope to see you all in 2009.

Re: Offline Tour 2009
No worries gents, after some deliberation I decided the tour will run as long as there are folks who want to play it, lol.
I'm more than likely going to be renaming the tour - The Offline Tour, as this ties in with the web domain I have.
Speaking of which, next season in 2009 will more or less be as it was this year with Handicap and Scratch Tours, with West Coast Swing, East Coast Swing and Fall Finish mini events, Team Trophy events and usual season ending Champion of Champions/Challenge Trophy and Grand Slam of Golf events.
There will be a slight change with the schedule as we move away from a tour that tries to mirror existing events on European/PGA Tours and sees fictional event names and hopefully the inclusion of many of the better/newer APCD designs of recent years, both fictional and real designs but still maintaining the non-P2P policy. I'm retaining this policy as it then allows everyone the opportunity to play all events if they wish, without being restricted if they are not owners of many of the P2P designs. For those wanting to play P2P there are alternative tours that will offer this option.
Potential new additions for the 2009 tour are.........

Potential new additions for the 2009 tour are.........
- WGC style Offline Matchplay event (for top 32 in Offline rankings) - Handicap Tour only, with rounds used taken from existing tour event rounds (to be decided)
- Optional regular tour event Pro-Am, played over 18 holes with a stipulated CPU player, with separate Pro-Am rankings table through the season
- Additional bonus shot award for Longest Putt per event, on any hole

Re: Offline Tour 2009
The Pro-Am sounds interesting. I was also wondering about the possibility of making one of the events a Stableford tournament rather than stroke play.
