Winner - Why Me
As much as would love to be the winner of the US Open, I cannot understand why.
According to the TOUR MEMBERS & HANDICAPS page, George is a Fully Active Member, and should win. Don't understand why he is just marked an 'Orange' member in the Leaderboard

Re: Winner - Why Me
Peter,
As you have spotted, George is a fully active member, but this is only from the current event - The Brabazon Shield. He has served his recativation period during the Blue Desert Classic and the US Open. Some may see these rules as a little draconian, but it's the way I do it, lol.
Whilst he was participating in the US Open, this was the second of his 'returning' events to get his fully active status back, and if you look at the US Open Handicap leaderboard, George is indicated with an orange status indicator.
As the tour rules state, unfortunately he cannot be classed as our handicap winner, despite his great score and the win is awarded to first fully active member next in line, which in this instance happened to be you. I commiserate with him, but at leaat he had the Pro Scr victory to soften the blow.
Similar scenario's occurred early in the season when new members whoi didn't have fully active status shot the lowest scores in the handicap tour, but had to concede victory based on the tour rule. I appreciate you might see this as a win by default, but each tour has their rules, and this is one we have had in place for quite some time.

Re: Winner - Why Me
Thank for the clarification Daz
Sorry George, you deserve it with a score like that, but consolation, you get more money.
