LINKS2k3 and Windows 7??

Post  RonHenry on Thu Oct 29, 2009 6:30 pm

Hello All - I am getting ready to cut-over from Windows Vista Ultimate 64 Bit to Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit. Does anybody have any experience at running LINKS 2k3 in Windows 7 Release Candidate? If so any comments or recommendations would be really appreciated - Thanks all! Ron Henry (hit 'em straight)

Hi Ron

There are loads of people have been running Links with Win 7 for most of the year. If you go to Links Corner (http://linkscorner.org/index.php), and check out the Forums, there is a lot of articles about doing that.

I personally have been running Links with Win 7 64bit since the first Beta came out if February.

There is really only one major problem. Running with an older nVidia graphics card. Doing that crashes Links. If you have an ATI card, or are willing to get one, you will have no problems.

As I said above, rathere than trying to explain it all again here, looking in Links Corner will explain it all

I'm still in the dark ages and running Win XP, so can't offer any advice other than to echo Pete's suggestion and checking out LinksCorner.

The Members Tech forums have at least 4 threads on the go regards Win 7 and Links 2003 that may be of use for you Ron.
